Pay-as-you-go vs Retained HR costs
Which option suits your small/medium business or start up best?
With retained HR Consultancy, you’ll be charged a minimum service fee per month, so you’ll want to make use of the base level of HR support. Though in our experience, the majority of small/medium businesses usually reach the threshold to make this worthwhile.
This is especially important if you have little or no in-house HR skills and want to be safe in the knowledge, you’re working within current employment law, just note that these will also be a maximum usage cap.
That said, pay-as-you-go can be invaluable if you have an unusual project you need specific HR help and support with, or you could combine this option when needed with a more cost-effective retained arrangement to keep your overall human resources fee down.
Monthly Support HR Package
If you want regular HR advice and support, this this is the package for you. We will conduct an initial audit and then work with you to ensure all documentation is legally compliant and fit for purpose for your company. We will provide unlimited telephone, Skype and email advice to assist you in dealing with workplace issues and provide template documents including contracts, employee handbooks and letters where required. We will keep in touch on a regular basis and you will receive regular updates on changes to employment law.
The cost of this package varies depending on your exact requirements and the number of employees, but prices start from £100 per month for up to 10 employees. There would also be an additional cost should you require attendance at meetings etc. You would be signed in for an initial contract of 12 months with the first 3 months fee being paid upfront and from then on you will be invoiced from month 4.
Pay as you go
If you don’t want to sign up to a monthly fee, then this is the perfect option for you. You can use our services as and when you need them and just pay for what you need, for example, if you need us to carry out a disciplinary or grievance investigation.
Charities will receive a 10% discount on all work.
If you would like the assurance that your employment contracts, policies and procedures are up to date or need to know what you need to be HR compliant, then we can charge you a one-off price to conduct a full HR for your company.
Cost of an HR Audit is dependent upon your full requirements.
If you need a specific project carrying out, then we will be more than happy to help. Examples could be management of employee relations issues, exit interviews, redundancy, TUPE, performance and absence management.
